Lok Virsa starts work on restoration of a carved wooden door

ISLAMABAD, Feb 14 (APP):National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage, Lok Virsa will screen Iranian film, “Khaste Nabashid” here on February 16 for the audience of twincities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
“No Sweat” or “Khaste Nabashid” as it is called in Persian, is a tale of dialogue and the true impact of adventure in life. It features some of the rarest landscapes, from Iran, to have graced the silver screen.

Directed by Mohsen Gharaie and starring Roya Afshar, Farzad Bagheri and Ghogha Bayat, “Khaste Nabashid” won Best Picture Award at the London South West International Film Festival, earning rave reviews from critics of contemporary film-making.
The Mandwa film club of Lok Virsa is an initiative taken by the institute to revive the classical cinema in the twin cities and involve the fun lovers in healthy activities that keep alive the dying culture and traditions among the young generation, the organizers said.
The Mandwa club screens national and international classical hits on every weekend and invite audience from all walks of life to entertain them as well as engage them in cultural programs.
