ISLAMABAD, Aug 4 (APP): National Institute of Folk and
Traditional Heritage Lok Virsa and Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation (PBC) on Thursday agreed to initiate joint culture programmes for promoting culture and art.
Executive Director Dr. Fouzia Saeed visited PBC and discussed joint working plan with senior officials of the Corporation Controller PBC Dr. Hassan Farooqi and Director Programmes Khurshid Ahmed Malik, said a press release.
Dr. Fouzia Saeed briefed Radio Pakistan officials about the
Lok Virsa on-going programmes started for the promotion of regional languages.
Later, she visited Central Production Unit of the PBC during
which Controller Central Production Gul Hassan Qureshi briefed about the preservation of Radio archives and plans for digitizing all the recordings.
Dr. Fouzia Saeed highly appreciated the role of Radio Pakistan, saying that PBC was not only the holder of history of Pakistani music but also the whole history of Pakistan was saved by it for the generations to come.
