Lok Virsa arranges condolence reference for Edhi, Agha Nasir

Lok Virsa normalize timings of both Museums

ISLAMABAD, July 13 (APP): A condolence reference was held here at Lok Virsa for the legendary philanthropist Abdul Sattar Edhi and renowned broadcaster Agha Nasir.

Executive Director Lok Virsa Dr. Fouzia Saeed, senior officials and other staff members of Lok Virsa attended the reference.

Participants prayed for both departed souls to rest in peace and grant courage to the grieved families to bear the loss with equanimity.

Dr. Fouzia expressed grief and sorrow over the demise of Abdul Sattar Edhi.

She stressed that folk traditions are not confined to the art and culture display, but service to humanity is also part of our traditions.

“Abdul Sattar Edhi was a standard-bearer of our intrinsic customary principles of selflessly helping others. He was an upright soul who devoted his life for service to mankind without any discrimination or prejudice that earned him trust and confidence of the whole nation,” she said.

Dr. Fouzia Saeed also expressed sorrow over the sad demise of the known intellectual Agha Nasir.

She sympathized with the bereaved family and lauded services of late Agha Nasir in the field of broadcasting, calling it loss of a great personality who will be remembered for his pioneering services for broadcasting in Pakistan.

She praised both legendary personalities for serving the nation tremendously in their respective fields.
