ATTOCK, Apr 10 (APP):Special Advisor to Prime Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Sayed Zulfiqar Abbas Bukhari has said that holding fairs, cultural shows at local level aimed at promotion and keep alive rich culture of the country as healthy entertainment for youth.
He expressed these views while addressing a concluding ceremony of Jashan-e-Baharan at village Jalwal here on Wednesday.
On the occasion, Chairman Public Accounts Committee Punjab Syed Yawar Bokhari, Former Federal Minister Syed Wajid Hussain Bokhari, Tehsil President PTI Malik Naveed and a large number of people were also present.
Zulfiqar Bukhari said this festival had given a chance to the people to come together and promote love, unity and brotherhood.
He said, such festivals also strengthened relationships and the youth got opportunity to enjoy healthy entertainment.
He appreciated the efforts of the local administration for organizing this event which provided healthy entrainment to the people of the district and adjoining areas.
Later, he distributed prizes and trophies among the winners of tent pegging and other events.
Later, he also addressed the party workers in Jand City and expressed that present government was committed to provide basic facilities to the people and for this purpose million of rupees were being spent.
He said that approval for provision of of gas facility to village Pind Sultani, Langar, Bhandar and Dhok Loharan and two-way road of Khunda Jand has been given by the federal government and work on these projects would be started soon.
Bukhari announced that a technical college and intermediate college would be built in Jand soon and these projects would facilitate thousand of people of the area .
