Kot Mithhan resort to host tourists, devotees from next month

MULTAN, Oct 26 (APP): The Tourism Development Corporation
of Punjab (TDCP) will get possession of newly constructed “Kot
Mithhan resort” from next month.
The resort was completed at a cost Rs 67 million in Rajanpur
at an area of 40 kanals to provide accommodation to tourists and
devotees of great saint Hazrat Khawaja Ghulam Farid. The resort
has 10 big rooms, two halls, lawn, parking area, kitchen and a store.
According to TDCP sources, devotees and tourists will find
an excellent place for accommodation as Rajanpur, Rojhan and Fazilpur lacked such like facilitateis. Indus river, is flowing few kilometer
away from Kot Mithhan.
The tourists will be able to view Indus and Blind Dolphin
present in the river. Similarly, historic Indus Queen ship has
also immense attraction for the devotees as well as tourists.
The triple-storey ship was built in 1867 and Nawab of Bahawalpur
Nawab Subh-e-Sadiq had gifted it to great Sufi saint and poet
Hazrat Khawaja Ghulam Farid of Kot Mithhan in 1917. The ship was
used for transportation of devotees of Hazrat Khawaja Ghulam
Farid and others from Kot Mithan (Rajanpur) to Chachran Sharif
(Rahimyar Khan).
The ship is not operational these days as none cared it.
The ship remain in water from April to September due to
increase in water level, and on land when the water receds.
