First solo painting exhibition concludes
World’s longest painting displayed at Abdul Wali Khan University

ISLAMABAD, Dec 23 (APP): First two-day solo painting exhibition of Yuri Kozlov, Trade Representative of Russian Federation Islamabad, Pakistan concluded here at Art Gallery of University of  COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, (CIIT).

The exhibition was jointly organized by Association of Pakistan Graduates from Russia and CIS & CIIT.

Engr. Iftikhar Ali, General Secretary of APGR &CIS, in his speech briefed the participant on the aims of the association, COMSATS institute contribution to the education in Pakistan and work of Kozlov who have done this tremendous work.

COMSATS is working for the Visual Arts field from years and giving the horizon to the Art professionals and students for expression.

The Rector COMSATS University, Dr. S.M. Junaid Zaidi has provided a platform for support of art and culture for other budding and senior artists in Islamabad.

In the continuation of the promotion of Art and interaction with the artist community, the COMSATS Gallery has now showing Solo Show by a Russian Artist.

The Head of International Office Dr.Arshad Salim Malik and Rector CIIT, Dr.S.M.Junaid Zaidi also spoke on the occasion.

This was the first solo exhibition which is a retrospective show COMSATS gallery is glad news for those, who want to see new horizons in works of our modern Pakistani artists, as his works are mixture of Russian aesthetics and local sensibilities.

The Ambassador of the Russian federation Alexey Dedov, the artist Yuri Kozlov, Dr. Arshad Malik, head of IO at CIIT appreciated the efforts of the Curator of CAG, Farrah and all organizers of the, event Dr. Shahid Hassan, engr. Iftikhar Ali, with the constants team.
