Exhibition of mixed media paintings by duo artists conclude


ISLAMABAD, Jan 4 (APP):The three-day Exhibition of mixed media paintings by senior artists Shahzad Hamid and Asim Minto concluded on Friday at Rawalpindi Arts Council featuring diverse imagery on cultural heritage of Pakistan.Hamid is a senior painter and graphic designer having 30 year experience in the field and worked for many institutions and projects. He also organized various exhibitions not only in Pakistan but also abroad. 
He displayed as many as 26 art pieces comprising mixed media with acrylic and graphic techniques. His works captured Pakistani culture, images of Minar-e-Pakistan, Lahore Fort and other popular historical places along-with still life using natural colors to make the work more eye-catching with touch of realism. While Asim Minto is an experienced painter and photographer with vast experience this field. He has been serving among the visiting faculty of Fatima Jinnah Women University and also participated in many exhibitions in Dubai, UK and Canada. 
During the exhibition, Minto displayed his collection of around 30 art pieces on calligraphy, culture and still life using the medium of mixed media. 
The exhibition was an attempt to highlight the importance of the cultural heritage having reflections of patriotism and historical value of the architectural beauty in Pakistan. Such shows serve as a source of learning for young artists to get skills from masters in the field, said the organizers.
