KOHAT, Sept 24 (APP): The Special Azadi Train on Saturday completed its country wide journey reached here at Kohat Railway Station where it was received by a large number of people, including students and families.
The train started its journey from Margalla Railway Station,
Islamabad, on August 11, in connection with Pakistan Independence Day celebrations, arrived at Kohat amid slogans of ‘Pakistan Zindabad’.
The people took keen interest in the cultural floats of Sindh,
Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Gilgit Baltistan and Azadi Jammu Kashmir, besdies and historical galleries.
Folk singers Fazal Jatt and Waqas Ali on the occasion presented national songs and received big applause from the audience.
The Divisional Superintendent Pakistan Railway Peshawar Division was also present on the occasion.
According to Officer Incharge Azadi Train Muhammad Ali Chachar,the Azadi Train during its over 40 days journey, visited almost all the major the cities of the four provinces.
