Ajoka theatre to presents its acclaimed plays at PNCA tomorrow
Ajoka theatre staged 3 plays at PNCA

ISLAMABAD, Dec 12 (APP): Ajoka Theatre has scheduled to perform three of its acclaimed plays in collaboration with Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) from December 13 at PNCA Auditorium.

The plays are: “Dukh Darya:, “”Kabira Khara Bazaar Mein” and “Bala King”, said a press release issued here on Monday.

“Dukh Darya” (The River of Sorrow), written by Shahid Nadeem and directed by Madeeha Gauhar, is based on the true story of an Azad Kashmiri woman, who was arrested in Indian-controlled Jammu.

“Kabira Khara Bazaar Mein” the play traces the life and message of the influential mystic Bhagat Kabir with live singing of Kabir songs.

Bala King” is a Punjabi adaptation by Shahid Nadeem of a Bertlot Brecht’s play written with allegorical reference to the rise of Hitler and has been directed by Madera Gauhar.

Ajoka’s musicians will also participate in a musical fusion with famous Danish band Live Strings.
