ISLAMABAD, Dec 21 (APP): Students from various educational institutions of twin cities will present a colorful cultural show to mark the birth anniversary of founder of the nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammed Ali Jinnah here on December 22 at Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA).
The event is being organized in collaboration with Ministry of National Heritage and Integration to highlight the importance of celebrating national days and educate the young generation about their history through informative entertainment.
The show will give opportunity to students to showcase their talent in the field of performing arts as they will present tableaus, national songs, speeches and other items.
Children of different age groups will present skits, national songs and tableaus based on various stories portraying the significance of December 25 as Quaid day and the value of freedom movement.
Celebrating the national days with art and cultural programmes is a regular feature of PNCA’s activities that not only celebrate the occasion but also involve young talent to create awareness among the masses about the importance of historical days, said an official of PNCA.
“Involvement of students for highlighting the contributions of national heroes and significance of national days through tableaus and songs, give them an opportunity to understand the history and ideologies of such events in its true perspective,” he said.
The nation celebrates Quaid day to celebrate the birth anniversary of father of the nation. The celebrations of the day include a national holiday, educational and cultural programmes while wreaths will be laid at the mausoleums of Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
To entertain the children, Magic Shows will also be held on the occasion. The participants will be awarded with certificates and prizes.
Meanwhile, a mega musical show ‘Melody Night’ will be held on December 22 at PNCA auditorium in which renowned singers Humaira Channa, Asad Abbas and Mulazim Hussain will present their melodies and entertain the audience of twincities.
