LAHORE, Mar 20 (APP):Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Wednesday held a meeting with provincial ministers at his office and discussed providing relief to the people as well as ensuring good governance in the province.
Provincial Ministers including Muhammad Basharat Raja, Dr. Yasmeen Rashid, Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed, Muhammad Sibtain Khan, Mian Aslam Iqbal, Makhdoom Hashim Jawan Bakht, Hafiz Mumtaz Ahmad, chief secretary, principal secretary and spokesman to the CM attended the meeting.
The meeting decided to take stern action against those involved in artificial price-hike.
The chief minister directed to initiate indiscriminate crackdown against profiteers and hoarders, adding that price control magistrates should act more proactively to overcome this menace.
He gave the task of stabilizing the prices of essential items to Minister for Industry Mian Aslam Iqbal.
The CM said that good governance should be ensured and merit be promoted at every level.
He said that interests of small farmers would be protected during wheat procurement campaign and wheat would be procured at the rate of Rs. 1300 per maund from farmers.
