ISLAMABAD, Aug 12 (APP):Pakistan’s leading technology innovation company has achieved 2nd place in the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) Annual Cyber Security Awards 2025, improving from its 3rd position last year among Category-I operators.
The recognition was announced at the Next-Gen Cyber Resilience Workshop and Telecom Cyber Security Awards 2025.
Each year, PTA conducts comprehensive cybersecurity audits of all telecom stakeholders, assessing readiness against emerging threats using well-defined evaluation criteria. Category-I covers Cellular Mobile Operators and large multi-license operators — where Zong CMPak ranked 2nd in 2025 following a 3rd place ranking in 2024.
This year’s score was based on parameters including compliance with Critical Telecom Data & Infrastructure Security Regulation audits, improvements in external attack surface management, active threat intelligence sharing with the National Telecom Security Operations Center (nTSOC), strong performance in the National Telecom Cyber Emergency Response Team (nTCERT), and a high DNS Security (DNSSEC) validation score by APNIC.
Head of Information Security at Zong 4G, Rehan Siddiq, stated: “This achievement is a testament to our teams’ dedication and our commitment to leading in cybersecurity and data protection. We will continue to invest in innovative security solutions to safeguard our customers and uphold national cyber standards.”
Zong 4G remains committed to advancing Pakistan’s telecom security landscape, aligning with global best practices and PTA regulations.
