ISLAMABAD, Feb 10 (APP): The overseas workers’ remittances witnessed an increase of 11.3 per cent during the first seven months of the current fiscal year 2025-26, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) said on Tuesday.
The inflow of $ 23.201 billion was recorded during July-January 2025-26 as compared to the inflow of $20.850 billion during July-January 2024-25, showing a growth of 11.3 per cent.
Similarly, on a year-on-year basis, the workers’ remittance went up by 15.35 per cent in January 2026 to $3.464 billion from $3.003 billion.
Remittances inflows during January 2026 were mainly sourced from Saudi Arabia (US$ 739.6 million), United Arab Emirates (US$ 694.2 million), United Kingdom (US$ 572.1 million) and United States of America (US$ 294.7 million).
