FAISALABAD, Nov 20 (APP): Managing Director Water & Sanitation Agency (WASA) Sohail Qadir Cheema said that WASA would upgrade the pumping machinery at its disposal stations to enhance sewerage management and service delivery.
In this connection, a delegation of representatives from a Japanese company met WASA Chief and delivered a detailed briefing on state-of-the-art pump technology.

They said that the machinery offers high performance at an affordable cost and incorporates cutting-edge innovations to optimize efficiency.
Speaking in the meeting, MD WASA Sohail Qadir Cheema said that a comprehensive plan has been formulated to upgrade machinery at disposal stations which would significantly improve sewerage disposal operations.
He said that the briefing provided valuable insight into the latest pump technologies, similar to those used earlier by the same company for replacing machinery at the Inline Chiniot and Terminal Reservoir projects.
He said that modernization of pumping systems would not only enhance operational capacity but would also reduce energy consumption which is an essential requirement amid rising utility costs.
The upgraded system would also enable faster resolution of sewage issues for the residents, he added.
