ISLAMABAD, Sep 17 (APP): Telenor Microfinance Bank (TMB), operator of Pakistan’s leading digital financial services platform, easypaisa, received its double recognition at the renowned 21st Annual Excellence Awards by CFA Society Pakistan, having won the “Best Microfinance Bank of the Year 2023” and “Recognizing Gender Diversity at the Workplace Award 2024.”

Founded in 2002, The CFA Society Pakistan is a member society of CFA Institute, a global association of investment professionals that sets the standard for professional excellence and credentials, according to a news release.

In 2023, TMB posted a pre-tax profit of Rs1.2 billion, marking a significant turnaround. This financial success was driven by exceptional revenue growth and strong performance from easypaisa, which remains one of Pakistan’s leading digital financial services apps.
TMB’s solid financial footing and its in-principal approval for a digital retail bank license granted by the State Bank of Pakistan in 2023, reflect the Bank’s progress in becoming a leader in digital finance.
