LAHORE, Jul 15 (APP): Senior Member Board of Revenue (SMBR) Nabil Javed here Tuesday chaired an important meeting on land valuation reforms.
Member Taxes, Secretary Taxes and other officers attended the meeting.
The SMBR Nabil Javed reviewed the progress in property valuation reforms. He was informed that land valuation reforms have been completed in almost all districts of Punjab, while the land valuation process in Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur and Sargodha will be completed soon.
The SMBR directed the officers concerned regarding land reforms and digitization of data.
Under the land reforms, he said, the records of all urban and rural properties would be digitized, asserting that land valuation reforms would bring transparency in the system and eliminate unnecessary delays.
Following the instructions of the Chief Minister of Punjab, the Board of Revenue is carrying out reforms to protect the property of citizens. The board is digitizing all revenue-related records at the divisional level so as to ensure public access to online records.
He said, digitization of land records would eliminate corruption and nepotism, besides making the land records safe.
