SIDB Employees Union seeks release of grant

PESHAWAR, Jan 13 (APP):President, Employees Union, Small Industries Development Board, Sahibzada Naseem Khan has drawn the attention of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Sohail Afridi to the economic development and small-scale industries operating in the province.
Presiding over a meeting of the union here on Tuesday, hes demanded that orders be issued to issue grants to Small Industries Development Board (SIDB) on an emergency basis.
In past, he said that SIDB was used to be granted grants by the provincial government, but now this grant has stopped, due to which 420 employees of the board including 160 permanent and temporary and 260 pensioners, are facing financial difficulties.
He added that the stove of the homes of the employees and pensioners of the department runs only on salary and pension.
Naseem Khan said that they have applied to meet the Chief Minister several times regarding the affairs of the SIDB but. till date no heed has been made to their requests.
