KARACHI, Sep 09 (APP):Shipping activity was report at the port where two ships, BGS Bimini, DP World Chennai and Orca-02 carrying Container and Palm oil, berthed at Qasim International Bulk Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal.
Meanwhile another ship ‘Searay’ carrying Palm oil also arrived at outer anchorage on same day.
A total of eleven ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them two ships, DP World Chennai and Chem Orchad left the port on today morning, while three more ships, BGS Bimini, Crane and Vosco Star Light are expected to sail on today afternoon.
Cargo volume of 179,366 tones comprising 126,301 tones imports cargo and 53,065 export cargo carried in 5,493 Containers (2,547 TEUs Imports & 2,946 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 15 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them a bulk cargo carrier ‘Aetos’ & two more ships, MSC Glory-R and Fyayston Farms scheduled to load/offload Rice and Container are expected to take berths MW-2 and QICT respectively on today.
