Shipping Activity at Port Qasim
KARACHI, May 25 (APP):Shipping activity was report at the port where three ships, MSC Maria Elena, Nave Estella and Spinel carrying Container, Gasoline and Coal, berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal, FOTCO oil Terminal and Marginal Wharf-4 Terminal on 24th May.
Meanwhile four more ships, MSC Anahita, Kai Xuan-11, Kouros Diamond and Silver Eternity carrying Container, G. Cargo and Coal also arrived at outer anchorage during last 24 hours.
A total of seven ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them two ships, Ocean Hope and Asahi Queen left the port on today morning. Meanwhile a containers ship ‘MSC Maria Elena’ expected to sail on today.
Cargo volume of 135,774 tones comprising 88,174 tones imports cargo and 47,600 export cargo carried in 4,850 Containers (2,050 TEUs Imports & 2,800 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 21 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them two ships, Omicron Atlas and MSC Anahita & another ship ‘Al-Bert-P’ carrying Soya Bean Seed and Container are expected to take berths FAP and QICT respectively on today.
