Shipping Activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI, Apr 14 (APP):Shipping activity was report at the port where four ships, Al-Bert-P, Burgan, Jahan Moni and Jahan Brother-II carrying Container, Gas oil and Coal, berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal, FOTCO oil Terminal, Port Qasim Electric Power Terminal and Pakistan International Bulk Terminal respectively.

     Meanwhile two more ships, Lamu and Shahriar Jahan-I with Gasoline and Coal also arrived at outer anchorage during last 24 hours.

     A total of nine ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them a containers ship ‘Al-Bert-P’ expected to sail on today afternoon.

     Cargo volume of 154,567 tones comprising 115,898 tones imports cargo and 38,669 export cargo carried in 3,000 Containers (2,150 TEUs Imports & 850 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.

     There are 8 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them a bulk cargo ship ‘Van Leopard’ with Coal expected to take berths Pakistan International Bulk Terminal today.
