KARACHI, Mar 04 (APP):Shipping activity was report at the port where four ships, Team Focus, Grand ACE-10, AM Ocean Silver and Venus Halo scheduled to load/offload Rice, H.S.F.O and Coal, berthed at Multi-Purpose Terminal, FOTCO oil Terminal, Port Qasim Electric Power Terminal and Pakistan International Bulk Terminal respectively.
Meanwhile three more ships, Henry Well, Sheng Li and Fortune Legacy scheduled to load/offload Rice, Iron Ore and Soya Bean Seed also arrived at outer anchorage on same day.
A total of ten ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them four ships, Nikolas-D, MD-23, Al-Hamla and Astro Merope left the port on today morning, while two more ships, Banglar Agrajatra and CMA CGM Rimbaud are expected to sail on today.
Cargo volume of 136,190 tonnes, comprising 102,070 tonnes imports cargo and 34,120 export cargo carried in 1,011 Containers (50 TEUs Imports & 961 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 13 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them four ships, Himalia, Scion Charlotte, Navigator Celtic and Navigator Aries & two more ships, Hansa Europe and CMA CGM Rimbaud carrying Palm oil, Canola Seed, LPG and Container expected to take berth at LCT, FAP, EVTL, SSGC and QICT on today.
