KARACHI, Feb 25 (APP):Shipping activity was reported at the port where seven ships, Hansa Europe, GFS Genesis, PS Hamburg, Navigator Celtic, Lebrethan and Lofty Mountain carrying Container, Mogas, LPG, LNG and Coal, berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal, FOTCO oil Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal, Pakistan Gas Port Terminal and Bulk Cargo Terminal-4, respectively.
Meanwhile, five more ships, Himalia, Advantage Path, Horizon-1, KM Weipa and AM Ocean Pearl carrying Palm oil, Gasoline, LPG and Coal also arrived at outer anchorage during last 24 hours.
A total of twelve ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours; out of them, a container ship, ‘Spirit of Bertram’, left the port this morning.
Cargo volume of 134,771 tonnes, comprising 104,330 tonnes of import cargo and 30,441 tonnes of export cargo carried in 2,842 Containers (1,306 TEUs Imports & 1,536 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 12 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them four ships, Horizon-1, AM Ocean Pearl and KM Weipa & another ship, Westerly, with LPG, Coal and Container expected to take berth at SSGC, PQEPT, PIBT and QICT today.
