KARACHI, Feb 24 (APP):Shipping activity was report at the port where two ships, Eleni-T and Maritime Comity carrying Container and Palm oil, berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal respectively.
Meanwhile two more ships, Roma-19 and Lofty Mountain carrying Palm oil and Coal also arrived at outer anchorage on same day.
A total of seven ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them a gas carrier ‘Doha’ left the port on today morning, while two more ships, Eleni-T and Ameena Jehan.
Cargo volume of 102,396 tonnes, comprising 64,712 tonnes imports cargo and 37,684 export cargo carried in 3,250 Containers (1,400 TEUs Imports & 1,850 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 10 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them two ships, Navigator Celtic and Lofty Mountain & four more ships, Spirit of Bertram, GFS Genesis, PS Hamburg and Lebrethan with LPG, Coal, Container, Mogas and LNG expected to take berth at EVTL, MW-4, FOTCO, QICT and PGPCL today.
