KARACHI, Jan 13 (APP):Shipping activity was report at the port where six ships, MSC Michaela, Eleni-T, Puerto Rosario, Sheng Hang-005, YC Pancy and Al-Wakrah scheduled to load/offload Container, Rice/Cement, Palm oil, Chemicals and LNG, berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal, Multi-Purpose Terminal, Liquid Cargo Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal and Engro Elengy Terminal respectively during last 24 hours.
Meanwhile four more ships, MSC Jeanne, GFS Gensis, Yuan Wang Fu Qiang scheduled to load/offload Container, Iron Ore and Coal also arrived at outer anchorage on same period.
A total of twelve ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them a containers ship ‘MSC Michaela’ left the port on today morning, while five more ships, Eleni-T, Semiha Ahmet-M, Common Galaxy, YC Pancy and Mraikh are expected to sail on today afternoon.
Cargo volume of 174,221 tonnes, comprising 134,208 tonnes imports cargo and 40,013 export cargo carried in 3,690 Containers (2,440 TEUs Imports & 1,250 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 22 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them five ships, MSC Jeanni-IV, GFS Genesis, Snarth, Galaxy and FEHU & another ship ‘EVA Trust’ carrying Container, Palm oil, LPG, Coal and Chemicals expected to take berths at QICT, MW-1, SSGC, PIBT and EVTL on today.
