KARACHI, Jan 07 (APP):Shipping activity was report at the port where six ships, Xpress Anglesey, GFS Giselle, Sarwat Gas, Stolt Argon, Gaslog Saratoga and Scorpio Honor carrying Container, Chemicals, LPG, LNG and Coal, berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal, Sui Southern Gas Terminal, Pakistan Gas Port Terminal and Pakistan International Bulk Terminal respectively during last 24 hours.
Meanwhile five more ships, Hansa Africa, PVT Jupitor, Bernice, Bulk Bolivia and Manina carrying Container, Palm oil, Soya Bean Seed, Fertilizer and LPG also arrived at outer anchorage same period as above mentioned.
A total of eleven ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them six ships, Xpress Anglessey, GFS Giselle, Mohammad-M, Floyen, Sarwat Gas and Pacific Apex are expected to sail on today afternoon.
Cargo volume of 172,685 tonnes, comprising 128,425 tonnes imports cargo and 44,260 export cargo carried in 2,910 Containers (1,345 TEUs Imports & 1,565 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 21 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them six ships, Hansa Africa, Belita, Haven, Royal Chemist, Mesaimeer and Bulk Bolivia & another ship ‘Talara’ are carrying Container, Palm oil, LNG, Coal and Mogas are expected to take berths at QICT, MW-1, LCT, EETL, PIBT and FOTCO on today.
