KARACHI, Dec 31 (APP):Shipping activity was report at the port where two ships, GFS Genesis and Unity Maria carrying Container and Coal, berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal and Pakistan International Bulk Terminal respectively.
Meanwhile three more ships, Hansa Africa, Al-Diab-II and Venus-09 carrying Container and LPG also arrived at outer anchorage during last 24 hours.
A total of ten ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them four ships, Paccha, YC Daisy, Hui Doung-36 and Horizon-1 left the port on today morning, while two more ships, Vmic Bright and GFS Genesis are expected to sail on today afternoon.
Cargo volume of 117,337 tonnes, comprising 75,198 tonnes imports cargo and 42,139 export cargo carried in 3,466 Containers (1,254 TEUs Imports & 2,212 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 13 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them four ships, Al-Soor-II, Venus-09, Joseph and Hansa Africa & two more ships, Spirit of Bertram and Minamoto scheduled to load/offload Gas oil, LPG, Container and Sand are expected to take berths at FOTCO, SSGC, EVTL, QICT and MW-1 on today.
