KARACHI, Dec 24 (APP):Three ships namely, GFS Giselle, Eva Trust and Mutriba carrying Containers, Palm oil and Diesel, berthed at Container Terminal, Liquid Terminal and Oil Terminal respectively on Tuesday.
Meanwhile five more ships, Monjasa Master, Hua Chuang 66, Southern Wolf, Fortuno and Sea Ray scheduled to load/offload Condensate, Containers, Chemicals and Palm oil also arrived at Outer Anchorage of Port Qasim during the last 24 hours.
Nine ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them two ships, AN-61 and Al-Wakrah left the port on Wednesday morning, while two more ships, Container vessel GFS Giselle and Bulk cargo carrier ASL Ixora are expected to sail on today afternoon.
Cargo throughput during last 24 hours stood at 172,628 tonnes comprising 120,224 tonnes imports cargo and 52,404 tonnes export cargo, inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 3,740 containers (TEUs) (1,310 imports and 2,430 exports TEUs) were handled at the Port.
Sixteen ships at outer anchorage of the port, out of them four ships, Hua Chuang 66, Cosco Kunlunshan, Eva Tokyo and Kouros Leader & two more ships, Hansa Africa and Cypress scheduled to load/offload Containers, Iron ore, Chemicals and Coal are expected to take berths at QICT, MW-1, EVTL and PIBT respectively on Wednesday, while five more ships, Groton, MSC Daisy, MSC Jeabnne, Marianetta and Aquavita Trust carrying Containers and LNG are expected to arrive at Port Qasim on Thursday 25th December-2025.
