KARACHI, Dec 16 (APP):Shipping activity was reported at the port where five ships, ONE Presence, Seaspan Santos, MH Borga, Gas Lily and Sarwat Gas carrying Container, Palm oil, Chemicals and LPG, berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal, Liquid Cargo Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal and Sui Southern Gas Terminal respectively.
Meanwhile six more ships, GFS Genises, Falcon Majestic, Trans Asia, Bochem Bayard, Margarita and Bochem Bucephalas with Container, Palm oil, Soya Bean Seed, Gas oil and Chemicals also arrived at outer anchorage during las 24 hours.
A total of nine ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them four ships, Seaspan Santos, ONE Presence, New Ability and Al-Areesh left the port on today morning, while two more ships, Sarwat Gas and Gas Lily are expected to sail on today afternoon.
Cargo volume of 98,280 tonnes, comprising 71,143 tonnes imports cargo and 27,137 export cargo carried in 3,123 Containers (1,972 TEUs Imports & 1,151 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 15 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them five ships, GFS Genesis, Bochem Bayard, Paccha, SC Brilliant and Poineer Gas carrying Container, Soya Bean oil, Gasoline, Chemicals and LPG are expected to take berths at QICT, MW-1, FOTCO, EVTL and SSGC on today.
