KARACHI, Oct 11 (APP): Shipping activity was report at the port where six ships, Atlantic Ibis, Hyundai Hong Kong, Wan Hai-316, Christos-K, Bristol Trader and Yasa Aysen scheduled to load/offload Container, Cement, Chemicals and Coalberthed at Qasim International Container Terminal, Multi-Purpose Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal and Pakistan International Bulk Terminal respectively on Thursday.
Meanwhile four more ships, African Harrier, PVT Aurora, Marangas Klymnos and Berge Catherine scheduled to load/offload Rice, Chemicals, LNG and Coal are also arrived at outer anchorage the port on today morning.
A total of eleven ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them three ships, Wan Hai-316, Hyundai Hong Kong and Al-Wajbah left the port on today morning, while four more ships, Phoenician-M, Abu-Al-Abyad, Petrl-1 and Helsinki Eagle are expected to sail on today afternoon.
Cargo volume of 102,037 tonnes, comprising 70,904 tonnes imports cargo and 31,133 tonnes export cargo carried in 2,177 Containers (1,531 TEUs Imports& 646 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 13 ships at Outer Anchorage of Port Qasim, out of them five ships, Apex, Nord Taipei, Au Taurus, Van Phong-1 and Marangas Klymno are scheduled to load/offload Cement, Lentiles, Palm oil, Mogas and LNG are expected to take berths at MW-1, FAP, LCT, FOTCO and PGPCL respectively on today,Meanwhile another container ships, Maersk Saratoga is due to arrive at port on Saturday.
