SCCI to explore Canadian market for Sialkot surgical instruments

The Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has announced plans to send a self-financed trade delegation to Canada in March 2027 on a tentative basis, aimed at exploring new business and export opportunities in the Canadian market.

SIALKOT, Aug 20 (APP): The Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has announced plans to send a self-financed trade delegation to Canada in March 2027 on a tentative basis, aimed at exploring new business and export opportunities in the Canadian market.
According to Chairman SCCI Departmental Committee on Fair and Exhibition Qaiser Baig, the proposed delegation will focus on the surgical instruments sector, one of Sialkot’s prominent export-oriented industries.
The chairman SCCI Departmental Committee on Fair and Exhibition said the initiative would provide Sialkot’s exporters with an opportunity to explore the potential of the Canadian market, develop business contacts and identify avenues for strengthening bilateral trade.
He clarified that participation in the delegation would be limited to company directors, partners or proprietors, while company employees and managers would not be eligible to participate.
Qaiser Baig further stated that the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) would provide a budget to the Consulate General of Pakistan in Toronto for arranging B2B meetings, whereas all other expenses related to participation in the delegation would be borne by the applicants.
He directed that the interested SCCI members had been invited to submit their online applications along with the required supporting documents. The application process includes submission of a signed and stamped application form, formal request on company letterhead, company profile, three years of bank-verified export performance, tax returns for the financial years 2023-24, 2024-25 and 2025-26, passport and CNIC copies, SCCI membership certificate, NTN and other required documents.
The committee chairman said that an application fee of PKR 10,000 has been prescribed. Selected companies will subsequently be required to pay Rs 20,000 to the SCCI as a delegation processing fee.
The deadline for submission of applications is August 26, 2026, before 5:00 pm. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted. Interested members can access the application and further details through the SCCI website, he added.
