SBP injects Rs 10.83 trillion in the market

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), Friday, injected Rs 10,827 billion through Reverse Repo Purchase and Shariah Compliant Mudarabah based Open Market Operations (OMO) for maintaining liquidity in the market. 

KARACHI, Sep 25 (APP): The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), Friday, injected Rs 10,827 billion through Reverse Repo Purchase and Shariah Compliant Mudarabah based Open Market Operations (OMO) for maintaining liquidity in the market.
The central bank conducted the Open Market Operation, Reverse Repo Purchase (Injection) for 7 and 14-day tenors on September 25, 2026, and injected Rs 10,257.9 billion against 46 quotes while other Rs 569.1 billion were injected through Shariah Compliant Mudarabah based OMO.
The central bank received 36 bids for the Reverse Repo Purchase of 14-day tenor, cumulatively offering Rs 9,639.1 billion at the rate of return ranging between 11.51% to 11.58%. The SBP accepted the entire amount against all the 36 quotes at 11.51% rate of return.
Moreover, the SBP also received 10 bids for the 7-day tenor, cumulatively offering Rs 564.8 billion at the rate of return ranging between 11.54% to 11.57%. The SBP accepted all the 10 bids with the entire amount at 11.54% rate of return.
Meanwhile, SBP also conducted Shariah Compliant Mudarabah-based Open Market Operation for the 7 and 14-day tenors. For the 7-day tenor, the central bank received 5 bids offering Rs 26.1 billion at rate of return ranging between 11.54% to11.56%. SBP accepted all the quotes with the entire amount at 11.54% rate of return.
The central bank also received 6 quotes for the 14-day tenor offering Rs 583 billion at rate of return ranging between 11.53% to 11.56%. SBP accepted an amount of Rs 543 billion against the 6 bids at 11.54% rate of return. The total amount offered at 11.54% was Rs 140 billion, out of which SBP accepted Rs 100 billion on a pro rata basis.
