The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), Thursday, injected Rs 729.3 billion through Reverse Repo Purchase and Shariah Compliant Mudarabah based Open Market Operations (OMO) for maintaining liquidity in the market.
SBP injects over Rs 729 billion in market

KARACHI, Oct 01 (APP): The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), Thursday, injected Rs 729.3 billion through Reverse Repo Purchase and Shariah Compliant Mudarabah based Open Market Operations (OMO) for maintaining liquidity in the market.
The central bank conducted the Open Market Operation, Reverse Repo Purchase (Injection) for a one-day tenor on October 01, 2026, and injected Rs 579.3 billion against 11 quotes while other Rs 150 billion were injected through Shariah Compliant Mudarabah based OMO.
The central bank received 11 bids for the Reverse Repo Purchase of one-day tenor, cumulatively offering Rs 579.3 billion at the rate of return ranging between 11.54% to 11.66%. The SBP accepted the entire amount against all the 11 quotes at 11.54% rate of return.
Moreover, SBP also conducted Shariah Compliant Mudarabah-based Open Market Operation for one-day tenor and received 2 bids offering Rs 150 billion at rate of return ranging between 11.59% to11.65%. SBP accepted both the quotes with the entire amount at 11.59% rate of return.
