SIALKOT, Sep 15 (APP):The Gloves Association Ittehad Founder Group has secured another success
in elections of the Pakistan Gloves Manufacturers & Exporters Association (PGMEA),
following its clean sweep in the polls.
Group leader Haji Aftab Ahmed Barlas and business community leader Riaz-ud-Din Sheikh
nominated Mian Muhammad Sarwar of Starla Group as Chairman PGMEA, Chaudhry
Muhammad Siddique as Senior Vice Chairman (SVC) PGMEA, and Mian Muhammad
Abbas as Vice Chairman (VC) PGMEA from among the newly elected executive members.
As no other candidates submitted nomination papers against the three nominees, Mian
Muhammad Sarwar (Starla Group), Chaudhry Muhammad Siddique and Mian Muhammad
Abbas were declared elected unopposed to their respective positions, according to a
notification issued by Election Commissioner Naseer A. Malik.
The continued electoral successes of the Gloves Association Ittehad Founder Group
were being viewed as a reflection of its strong organizational position within the gloves
industry, growing confidence in its leadership and broad support among the industrial
community.
The newly elected office bearers were expected to work for the promotion of the gloves
industry and address the business community’s concerns while further strengthening
the sector’s domestic and international standing.
