ISLAMABAD, Nov 23 (APP): The exchange rate of Pakistan rupee strengthened by 46 paisas against the US dollar in the interbank trading on Tuesday and closed at Rs174.30 as compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs174.76.
According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of dollars in the open market were recorded at Rs 175.5 and Rs 177 respectively.
Similarly, the price of the euro was depreciated by 83 paisas and closed at Rs 196.14 against the last day’s trading of Rs 196.97, the State Bank of Pakistan reported.
The Japanese Yen remained unchanged to close at Rs 1.53, whereas a decrease of Rs 1.40 was witnessed in the exchange rate of the British Pound, which was traded at Rs 233.35 as compared to its last closing of Rs 234.75.
The exchange rates of Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal declined by 10 paisas each to close at Rs 47.46 and Rs 46.45 respectively.
