The leadership of the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) and the Rawalpindi Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RWCCI) reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening women’s economic empowerment, promoting entrepreneurship and enhancing institutional collaboration during a high-level meeting held on Sunday.
RCCI, Women Chamber join hands to advance Women’s economic empowerment and business growth

ATTOCK, Jun 7 (APP): The leadership of the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) and the Rawalpindi Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RWCCI) reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening women’s economic empowerment, promoting entrepreneurship and enhancing institutional collaboration during a high-level meeting held on Sunday. The participants discussed key issues facing the business community, future development initiatives and strategies to create greater opportunities for women entrepreneurs.
Addressing the meeting, RCCI Group Leader Sohail Altaf said the Rawalpindi Chamber has always stood alongside the Women Chamber and will continue extending its full support for women’s development and business sustainability. He praised RWCCI Group Leader Hina Mansab Khan and her team for their dedication to women’s welfare and economic progress, emphasizing that both chambers share a common vision for empowering women and strengthening the business sector. RCCI President Usman Shaukat and former President Asad Mashhadi also reiterated their commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at training, mentoring and facilitating women entrepreneurs in line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
The meeting was informed that the Rawalpindi Women Chamber has made significant strides in capacity-building and skills development through its incubation centre and training programmes. RWCCI leaders highlighted that more than 450 women have received free training in entrepreneurship, digital marketing, startup development and professional grooming through government-supported initiatives. They also shared details of a collaborative programme with NUML University under which 200 women were trained in digital entrepreneurship, innovation and modern business practices to enhance their participation in the evolving economy.
Participants also explored opportunities in tourism, handicrafts, hospitality and cultural industries as potential avenues for women-led enterprises. Both chambers agreed to work closely on future projects, exhibitions, international partnerships and business development initiatives to strengthen institutional stability and create sustainable economic opportunities for women.
Concluding the meeting, RWCCI Group Leader Hina Mansab Khan stressed the need for unity within the business community and greater representation of women in trade bodies, noting that women constitute a majority segment of the population and their economic inclusion is vital for Pakistan’s long-term growth and prosperity.
