RAWALPINDI, Nov 20 (APP):President of the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI), Usman Shaukat, represented Pakistan at the RCCI–HEPA Business Forum held in Budapest.
He invited Hungarian investors and trade partners to take advantage of the lucrative opportunities available in Pakistan, a vibrant market of over 225 million people.
The event was hosted by the Hungarian Export Promotion Agency (HEPA) under the leadership of HEPA Deputy CEO Dr. Gabor Peter Artner, in collaboration with the Ambassador of Pakistan to Hungary, Asif Hussain Memon, said a press release issued here Thursday.
During his keynote address, President Usman Shaukat highlighted Pakistan’s vast trade and investment potential, stressing the need to explore new bilateral opportunities and address persistent challenges that have limited the expansion of trade volume between Pakistan and Hungary.
He identified several high-potential sectors for mutual cooperation, including: Tourism, positioning Pakistan as a dynamic and attractive destination, Non-conventional sectors, particularly pharmaceuticals, Gems and jewellery, and Traditional export sectors, such as textiles, sports goods, and agricultural machinery.
The forum served as a valuable platform for structured business engagement, enabling senior-level delegations to participate in targeted B2B and partner meetings. These interactions opened direct communication channels to support smoother negotiations and successful business outcomes. Such forums are frequently organized alongside major international trade fairs in Hungary, further expanding opportunities for global collaboration.
On the sidelines of the event, President Usman Shaukat also paid a courtesy visit to the Embassy of Pakistan in Budapest, where he presented mementos to the Ambassador and the Commercial Counselor. He also signed the Visitors’ Book to mark the occasion.
