RAWALPINDI, April 26 (APP):President of Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI), Zahid Latif Khan Thursday lauded the Punjab government for imposing Section 4 of the Punjab Land Acquisition Rules 1983 in Rawat Industrial Estate.
Addressing traders’ meeting at the chamber house, he appreciated Commissioner Rawalpindi Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry’s
efforts for resolving issues faced by traders and industrialists in Rawat Industrial Estate.
He said the final plan of decade long old Ring Road project had been forwarded to Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) for which various multi-donor financial agencies and institutes had shown interest in this regard and “we are hopeful that this
project will be completed in time.”
The link road would be constructed which would connect the industrial estate to GT road and also this would help industrialists to add more units in the area. This would ultimately generate more employment opportunities, he added.
He said RCCI had approached commissioner Rawalpindi and provided recommendations to improve the traffic, law and order and civic facilities in the city.
The ultimate goal was to increase smooth trade activities in the region and RCCI had been striving to get maximum facilities for traders and industrialists, he added.
