FAISALABAD, Jul 23 (APP): Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) Senior Vice President Qaisar Shams Gucha said that “Rachna Do Aaba” is most important region of Punjab in terms of its history, culture, art and heritage which has made tremendous and expeditious growth during last century.
Chairing a meeting of the Lyallpur Museum Committee, he said that efforts are being made on the guidelines of Provincial Minister Madam Uzma Bukhari to synchronize this museum with modern and emerging dimensions.
He said that the foundation stone of Lyallpur was laid down in the late nineties to develop it as a “Food Basket” leading to industrialization.
“It has now become a thriving and iconic representation of textile at global level”, he said and added that Lyallpur Museum has preserved more than 7,000 artifacts relating to this region which explicitly narrate its amazing growth.
He said that steps would be taken to protect and preserve the artifacts in addition to reorganizing this museum on modern scientific lines to showcase its history, art, culture and heritage under one roof.
