Naveed Ahmed has been elected unopposed as Chairman of the Pakistan Vanaspati Manufacturers Association (PVMA), while Faad Waheed and Sheikh Asif Saeed were elected Senior Vice Chairman and Vice Chairman, respectively. Abdul Razzaq has been appointed Patron-in-Chief of the Association.
PVMA chairman, other office bearers elected unopposed
KARACHI, Sep 30 (APP): Naveed Ahmed has been elected unopposed as Chairman of the Pakistan Vanaspati Manufacturers Association (PVMA), while Faad Waheed and Sheikh Asif Saeed were elected Senior Vice Chairman and Vice Chairman, respectively. Abdul Razzaq has been appointed Patron-in-Chief of the Association.
The announcement was made at the 81st Annual General Meeting of the PVMA, chaired by outgoing Chairman Sheikh Umer Rehan and Patron Abdul Razzaq. President FPCCI Atif Ikram Sheikh and Vice President Abdul Momin Khan specially attended the ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, Sheikh Umer Rehan announced the 21-member Executive Committee elected unopposed for the 2026–28 term. From the North Zone, Faad Waheed, Muhammad Sameen Jan, Salman Khan, Kashif Islam Sheikh, Sheikh Amjad Rasheed and Arham Ikram were elected Executive Members. The Central Zone representatives include Zafar Iqbal, Imaduddin, Muneeb Mannan, Nasir Ibrahim, Hamza Tariq Sufi, Naveed Ahmed, Zain Mahmood and Fawad Akram.
From the South Zone, Sheikh Asif Saeed, Maroof Molvi, Haseeb-ur-Rehman Sheikh, Muhammad Arshad Hayee, Rafiq Razzaq, Sheikh Anjum Rehmat and Adil Waheed were elected Executive Members. Sana Shoaib and Marwa Shoaib were elected on the women’s reserved seats.
In recognition of their outstanding services, Sheikh Umer Rehan presented gold medals to Khalid Islam and Kashif Razzaq.
Newly elected Chairman Naveed Ahmed thanked the association members and the business community for reposing confidence in him.
He said he would utilize all his capabilities to address the issues confronting the ghee and edible oil industry and effectively safeguard the legitimate interests of the sector.
