ISLAMABAD, Jun 27 (APP): The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), led by Chairman Major General (R) Hafeez Ur Rehman engaged in high-level dialogues to advance Pakistan’s digital landscape and strengthen global cooperation on key issues of digital development and inclusion.
The delegation is representing Pakistan in the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) 2025, held in Lillestrom, Norway, said a news release.
A significant bilateral meeting was held between the PTA and the IGF Secretariat to deliberate on the evolving landscape of internet governance, including progress on the Pakistan IGF and collaborative opportunities in digital policy formulation.
The meeting reaffirmed PTA’s commitment to inclusive, secure, and sustainable internet development aligned with global standards.
Chairman PTA also represented Pakistan in a high-level session focused on digital development and gender inclusion, emphasising Pakistan’s strategic priorities in bridging the digital divide.
His remarks highlighted national efforts to promote equitable access, empower underserved communities, and foster digital innovation.
PTA’s active engagement at IGF 2025 reinforces its role as a regional leader in digital transformation and reflects Pakistan’s dedication to shaping an inclusive, future-ready digital ecosystem.
