ISLAMABAD, Jul 29 (APP):The Pakistan Stock Exchange’s (PSX) benchmark KSE-100 Index witnessed bearish trend on Tuesday, losing 1,415.24 points, a negative change of 1.02 percent, closing at 137,964.82 points against 139,380.06 points last trading day.
A total of 606,334,880 shares were traded during the day as compared to 589,306,106 shares the previous trading day, whereas the price of shares stood at Rs 32.685 billion against Rs 34.562 billion on the last trading day.
As many as 484 companies transacted their shares in the stock market, 108 of them recorded gains and 350 sustained losses, whereas the share price of 26 companies remained unchanged.
The three top trading companies were Telecard Limited with 38,709,378 shares at Rs 7.84 per share, B.O. Punjab with 31,941,017 shares at Rs13.47 per share and WorldCall Telecom 28,524,007 shares at Rs 1.44 per share.
The Thal Industries Corporation Limited witnessed a maximum increase of Rs 55.71 per share price, closing at Rs 614.16, whereas the runner-up was Archroma Pakistan Limited with Rs 47.05 rise in its per share price to Rs 517.52.
Unilever Pakistan Foods Limited witnessed a maximum decrease of Rs891.72 per share closing at Rs 32,620.41 followed by PIA Holding Company LimitedB with Rs390.57 decline in its share price to close at Rs31,157.43.
