PSX turns bullish, gains 496 points

ISLAMABAD, Nov 07 (APP): The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Friday witnessed a positive trend as the KSE-100 index gained 496.11 points, a positive change of 0.31 percent, closing at 159,592.90 points against 159,096.79 points on the last working day.
A total of 768.833 million shares valuing Rs30.735 billion were traded compared to 957.304 million shares worth Rs30.446 billion on the previous day. The market capitalization increased to Rs18.286 trillion from Rs18.220 trillion.
Out of 479 companies transacted, 228 closed up, 203 closed down, and 48 remained unchanged.
The three top trading companies were First National Equities with 85.907 million shares at Rs19.29 per share, Bank Makramah with 78.130 million shares at Rs5.61 per share, and Pace (Pakistan) Limited with 47.517 million shares at Rs29.11 per share.
PIA Holding Company LimitedB was the top gainer, increasing by Rs202.55 to close at Rs24,887.95, followed by Supernet Technologies Limited, which rose by Rs95.24 to close at Rs1,671.77.
On the other hand, Hoechst Pakistan Limited witnessed the maximum decrease of Rs116.10 per share, closing at Rs4,083.90, followed by Pakistan Services Limited, which lost Rs54.16 to close at Rs1,463.75.
In the futures market, 163.336 million shares were traded compared to 215.512 million shares a day earlier, with a total traded value of Rs8.073 billion.
Top three volume leaders in the futures market were PACE-NOV with 34.039 million shares at Rs29.36, BML-NOV with 17.345 million shares at Rs5.65, and BOP-NOV with 16.195 million shares at Rs35.15.
