ISLAMABAD, Jul 23 (APP): The Pakistan Stock Exchange’s (PSX) benchmark KSE-100 turned around to bearish trend on Wednesday, losing 165.26 points, a negative change of 0.12 percent, closing at 139,254.36 points against 139,419.62 points last trading day.
A total of 656,642,916 shares were traded during the day as compared to 629,032,405 shares the previous trading day, whereas the price of shares stood at Rs 32.096 billion against Rs 34.675 billion on the last trading day.
As many as 483 companies transacted their shares in the stock market, 211 of them recorded gains and 243 sustained losses, whereas the share price of 29 companies remained unchanged.
The three top trading companies were WorldCall Telecom with 55,415,421 shares at Rs 1.54 per share, Media Times Limited with 38,368,003 shares at Rs3.67 per share and First Dawood Prop with 31,297,416 shares at Rs 6.75 per share.
PIA Holding Company LimitedB witnessed a maximum increase of Rs 2,791.38 per share price, closing at Rs 30,705.17, whereas the runner-up was Unilever Pakistan Foods Limited with Rs 2,777.72 rise in its per share price to Rs 30,554.94.
Rafhan Maize Products Company Limited witnessed a maximum decrease of Rs63.16 per share closing at Rs 9,469.83 followed by Hoechst Pakistan Limited with Rs51.65 decline in its share price to close at Rs3,082.60.
