An evaluation team of the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) visited the National Textile University Faisalabad (NTUF) and successfully completed the accreditation process for the BS Textile Engineering and BS Polymer Engineering programs (Batch 2022 onwards).

FAISALABAD, Apr 08 (APP): An evaluation team of the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) visited the National Textile University Faisalabad (NTUF) and successfully completed the accreditation process for the BS Textile Engineering and BS Polymer Engineering programs (Batch 2022 onwards).
According to a university spokesperson, the PEC accreditation team led by Professor Dr Muhammad Aamer (SSUET, Karachi) included Engineer Moazzam Khalil (PEC Headquarters, Islamabad), Professor Dr Owais Khutri (MUET, Jamshoro) and Engineer Dr. Aamer Abbas (UCT BZU, Multan) as textile engineering experts.
Meanwhile, Dr Muhammad Zaman (PIAS, Islamabad) and Professor Dr. Javed Iqbal (KFUEIT, Rahim Yar Khan) served as polymer engineering experts.
During visit, the PEC team conducted a detailed review of the academic processes, curriculum, laboratories, faculty profiles, and infrastructure in accordance with the prescribed accreditation standards.
According to sources, the purpose of the visit is to implement PEC standards in universities, align them with global quality benchmarks, and provide skilled engineers to the nation.
This will increase the demand for Pakistani engineers worldwide and enable them to earn foreign exchange for the country.
On this occasion, NTUF Rector/Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Rashid Masood; Dean of the School of Engineering and Technology, Professor Dr Zulfiqar Ali; Chairperson of Textile Engineering, Professor Dr Hafsa Jamshaid; and Chairman of Polymer Engineering, Dr. Usman Zahir, warmly welcomed the team.
It is worth noting that various PEC evaluation teams regularly visit engineering universities across the country to improve educational standards, NTUF spokesperson added.
