PDWP approves Rs 24.440b development schemes

LAHORE, Jul 08 (APP):Punjab Development Working Party Punjab (PDWP) in its 3rd meeting of Financial Year 2024-25 here Monday approved seven development schemes worth more than Rs 24.440 billion.
Planning and Development Board Chairman Barrister Nabeel Ahmad Awan presided over the meeting. The approved schemes pertain to sectors of agriculture, public building and roads.
The approved schemes are as follows:
1) Chief Minister’s Program for Solarization of Agricultural Tube-wells in Punjab at the cost of Rs 9,000 million
2) Protection against Erosive action for River Chenab along left side in District Hafizabad (Kot Kameer & Behak Ahmad Yar) at the cost of Rs 848.966 million
3) Rehabilitation/Improvement of Faisalabad Jaranwala road At Makuana By-Pass to Syed Wala Okara road via Syed Wala Interchange Motorway M-3 length = 45 Km at the cost of Rs 3801 million
4) Rehabilitation/ Improvement of Ghazi Road connecting Ring road to Ferozpur Road in District Lahore at the cost of Rs 530 million
5) Rehabilitation/Improvement from Syedwala to Jaranwala, Length 12.00 Km District Nankana Sahib at the cost of Rs 1320 million
6) Rehabilitation/Improvement of Faisalabad Satiana Tandlianwala Mari Pattan Okara Road, Length 61.07 Km (Section from Chamrall Jhall to Maripattan, Length 33.39) at the cost of Rs 3451 million
7) Rehabilitation of Sahiwal Arifwala road upto District Boundary, Length 27 Km in Sahiwal at the cost of Rs 5490 million.
P&D Board Secretary Dr Asif Tufail, Secretary Agriculture Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, Secretary C&W Sohail Ashraf, Chief Economist Nasir Iqbal Malik, Members P&D Board, Head and other senior representatives of the relevant provincial departments attended the meeting.
