PC extends deadline for IESCO privatisation EOI to Sept 21

The Privatisation Commission (PC) has extended the deadline for submission of Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from private investors for the privatisation of Islamabad Electric Supply Company Limited (IESCO) to September 21, 2026.

ISLAMABAD, Aug 29 (APP): The Privatisation Commission (PC) has extended the deadline for submission of Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from private investors for the privatisation of Islamabad Electric Supply Company Limited (IESCO) to September 21, 2026.
According to the Private Commission’s spokesperson, interested investors can now submit their EOIs by 4:00 p.m. (PKT) on September 21, 2026.
The commission said the extension was aimed at facilitating local and international investors and ensuring wider participation in the privatisation process.
Under the government’s privatisation programme, private sector participation is being sought through the acquisition of 51 to 100 per cent share capital, along with management control, in three power distribution companies: Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO), Gujranwala Electric Power Company (GEPCO) and IESCO.
The PC said the additional time would enable prospective investors to complete their due diligence and submit their EOIs, helping ensure a more competitive and transparent process.
It clarified that all other terms and conditions of the EOI process would remain unchanged.
Interested parties can obtain further information and access the relevant EOI documents through the official website of the Privatisation Commission.
