The total liquid foreign reserves of Pakistan increased to US$ 21,598.3 million as of March 06, 2026 while the reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan also increased to $ 16,341.1 million.
Pakistan’s total liquid foreign reserves surge to $ 21.6 billion

KARACHI, Mar 12 (APP): The total liquid foreign reserves of Pakistan increased to US$ 21,598.3 million as of March 06, 2026 while the reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan also increased to $ 16,341.1 million.
“During the week ended on 06-Mar-2026, SBP’s FX reserves increased by US$ 41 million to US$ 16,341.1 million,” the central bank reported on Thursday in its weekly statement on the position of liquid foreign reserves.
Meanwhile, the net foreign reserves held by the commercial banks, according to the break up of forex reserves, increased by $ 123 million to $ 5,257.2 million during the period under review.
Total liquid foreign reserves held by the country in the previous week ended on February 27, 2026 were $ 21,433.9 million.
Among them the State Bank of Pakistan held foreign exchange reserves of $ 16,300 million while the commercial banks held reserves equalling to $ 5,133.9 million.
