Pakistan’s ICT exports rise 19.7% to $2.97 bln in Jul–Feb FY26

Pakistan’s information and communication technology (ICT) sector maintained a strong growth trajectory, recording a 19.7 percent increase in export remittances during the first eight months of fiscal year 2025–26.

ISLAMABAD, Mar 17 (APP): Pakistan’s information and communication technology (ICT) sector maintained a strong growth trajectory, recording a 19.7 percent increase in export remittances during the first eight months of fiscal year 2025–26.
According to data shared by the Ministry of IT, ICT export remittances reached $2.97 billion during July–February FY26, up from $2.48 billion in the corresponding period last year.
On a monthly basis, ICT exports stood at $365 million in February 2026, reflecting a 19.3 percent year-on-year increase, indicating sustained momentum in the sector’s external earnings.
The industry also posted a trade surplus of $2.55 billion, accounting for 86 percent of total ICT export remittances, reaffirming its position as the top-performing segment within Pakistan’s services sector.
