BSD CITY (Jakarta), 13 (APP): A Pakistani business delegation representing key chambers of commerce and industry from across the country is participating in the 41st Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) 2026, seeking to explore new trade, investment and business partnership opportunities with Indonesian companies to strengthen economic ties between the two countries.
The five-day international trade exhibition, being held from October 14 to 18 at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE), BSD City, Tangerang, Banten, brings together businesses, exporters, international buyers and investors under the theme, “The Ultimate Hub for Global Sourcing.”
The event is organized by PT Debindomulti Adhiswasti (DEBINDO) and hosted by the Directorate General of National Export Development (DGNED), Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia.
The participation of Pakistani business representatives from diverse economic sectors reflects the growing interest in expanding bilateral commercial relations, diversifying trade and identifying new avenues for cooperation between Pakistan and Indonesia, two important economies of the Asian region.
The delegation includes representatives from the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Quetta Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The participation of these leading business organizations provides an opportunity for Pakistani entrepreneurs to engage directly with Indonesian manufacturers, exporters and service providers, explore potential joint ventures and establish business-to-business contacts.
Business leaders from Pakistan have welcomed the 41st edition of Trade Expo Indonesia, describing it as an important platform for strengthening commercial engagement, promoting investment and building sustainable partnerships between the private sectors of both countries.
The expo offers Pakistani businesses an opportunity to explore Indonesia’s export-oriented industries, assess the quality and competitiveness of Indonesian products, and identify potential suppliers and partners for the Pakistani market. At the same time, Indonesian companies can explore opportunities to expand their presence in Pakistan through trade partnerships, distribution networks and investment cooperation.
The two countries have considerable potential to broaden economic cooperation in textiles and garments, agricultural products, food processing, pharmaceuticals, surgical instruments, engineering goods, information technology, halal products and services, among other sectors.
Pakistan’s established manufacturing base, particularly in textiles, surgical instruments, sports goods, leather products and agricultural commodities, offers opportunities for stronger commercial engagement with Indonesian businesses. Similarly, Indonesia’s industrial capacity, consumer goods, processed foods and diverse export portfolio provide scope for expanding bilateral trade and developing complementary supply chains.
The participation of chambers of commerce from Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi, Quetta and Sialkot also reflects the geographical and sectoral diversity of Pakistan’s business community. Their engagement at the expo could help small and medium-sized enterprises establish international contacts, identify emerging market opportunities and improve access to regional and global supply chains.
Recognized as one of Indonesia’s major multi-product and services trade exhibitions, TEI provides a platform for Indonesian companies to showcase export-quality products and services to international buyers. Its programme focuses on business-to-business engagement from October 14 to 16, followed by a combined business-to-business and business-to-consumer format on October 17 and 18.
For Pakistani businesses, the exhibition presents an opportunity to move beyond traditional trading arrangements and develop longer-term commercial relationships based on investment, technology exchange, industrial cooperation and private-sector partnerships.
Strengthening economic relations between Pakistan and Indonesia is also important in the broader context of regional connectivity and cooperation among Asian economies. Greater engagement between business associations, exporters and investors can help identify practical solutions to market-access challenges, improve trade facilitation and encourage greater participation by companies from both countries.
The Pakistani delegation’s participation in Trade Expo Indonesia 2026 is expected to provide a valuable opportunity to build business networks, promote Pakistani products and explore new areas of cooperation, reinforcing the shared interest of the two countries in translating longstanding friendly relations into stronger trade and investment ties.
