LAHORE, Jul 31 (APP): Pak-US Joint Business Council’s former chairman Iftikhar Ali Malik Thursday termed the trade agreement between United States and Pakistan a historic development that would strengthen Pakistan’s economy significantly.
Talking to the media men here, he said, the landmark deal would not only enhance bilateral trade relations but also pave the way for increased foreign investment, technology transfer, and industrial collaboration. He stressed that the agreement reflects mutual trust and a shared vision for economic growth and regional stability.
Malik, former president of SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry, added that the pact would open new avenues for Pakistani exports to the US market, create job opportunities, and contribute to sustainable economic development. He appreciated the efforts of all stakeholders involved in negotiating the agreement and called for its swift implementation to ensure maximum benefits.
He stressed that both governments must maintain a transparent, business-friendly environment and fostering long-term strategic trade ties.
Iftikhar Ali Malik was of the view that this agreement would also promote SMEs, enhance productivity, and ensure competitive access to international markets. He reiterated that strong economic relations between the two nations would play a pivotal role in maintaining regional peace and accelerating Pakistan’s economic progress.
